Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee was hoping to get back onto the football field recovered from his injuries. Unfortunately for Lee and the Cowboys, an ACL tear sustained in his left knee during OTAs will sideline Lee for the 2014 season.

Lee sustained his injury on a block from Zach Martin, first round choice of the Cowboys, after a catch-and-run from Brandon Weeden to rookie running back Ben Malena. The drill was supposed to be non-contact, but Martin went through on his block.

With a defense that struggled mightily, Dallas was desperately awaiting Lee‘s return, but Tony Romo may have to carry the team for another year, which Cowboys fans are sick of seeing.

Defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli has to plan a defense without Sean Lee and DeMarcus Ware, who signed with Denver this free agency.
